Identity for Kurula Varkey Design Forum

Identity and Product Design, and Social Media Campaign


The Kurula Varkey Design Forum is a student-led annual forum organised by CEPT University for critical discourse in architecture and architectural education. The forum involves discussion of projects by final-year students of architecture from across Southeast Asia and the works of panellists from around the world.

The graphic identity for the 2021 forum, themed (inter)dependencies, was designed by blurck Partners and became the first collaborative branding project as a group of final-year students at CEPT University. This initiated our professional experience in graphic, identity, and product design.


The forum identity started with the intention of making architectural graphics more playful and organic. By illustrating words associated with the theme, the graphic grew into a series of symbols interacting with each other to create the primary identity for the forum.
